After reading the prologue of the “Arabian Nights” I am interested in reading further into how the power of the king is going to affect the bigger picture of the story. Shahrazad plays a big role in affecting the decisions of the king. So although he is in control, she is contributing to his decision making. I believe that while the story is based upon him, it is still mainly focused on her which is why I am interested in reading further into the text. I want to see how her role is going to affect him and how she is going to make out in the end. Will she end up like every other woman he sleeps with?
