The Thief of Bagdad

After watching a majority of the film, the film appears to be extremely problematic. Referring to Sabu as a slave was one of the main issues that stood out to be. The film is contributing to problematic topics such as slavery which appears to be normalized throughout the film. Sabu is treated very poorly by other men who obtain power and status. Superiority and power becomes a main focus amongst the people. Sabu is also portrayed as a thief and a beggar which also becomes problematic.
